Krause English is a language and presentation skills training program.

It started out as an advanced language-only program in 2006, and then within a few years had morphed into a corporate presentation skills program when Matt noticed that was the main skillset his clients wanted to develop.

For pricing details, see our services grid. But in general, the online-only option is cheaper than the online-plus-in-person option.
No. If you are just starting out in your English journey, there are people who can help you better than we can. However, if you feel like you're too advanced for most language schools, but you still get nervous speaking English in front of a crowd, you're probably in the right place.

Yes, of course it's okay. We work with people from all over the world.

One of the options is online-only, meaning you can do it wherever you are located, and entirely on your time schedule.

Another one of the options includes face-to-face meetings, so it might only be available to you if you are in southeast Europe.

Many of our clients travel a lot for work, which makes online training an ideal fit for them.

We will be happy to put together a special program for you to follow when traveling, so that you can stick to your routine and continue making steady progress even when you're on the road.

No. We'll use a lot of outside materials (articles from the Financial Times, New York Times, Economist, etc). But we maintain our own subscriptions to those things, and we will share the articles with you directly in the assignments.

Yes, of course.

We are used to dealing with confidential issues. In fact, almost all of our clients discuss confidential issues (company strategies, internal issues, etc) in our classes, and whatever is discussed in those classes stays in those classes.

Our livelihoods depend on our clients being happy with us, and they probably wouldn't be happy with us if we went around naming names.

So the things you mention in our classes, those are just between us. Think of attorney-client privilege, or a doctor-patient relationship. We hold ourselves to the same standard.

Yes, your coach is absolutely real, and you’ll get to know him or her very well. Your coach will work with you closely to meet your goals and overcome any challenges along the way.

Also, everyone on our team is an expert at something. Some of them are experts at presentation skills, others are experts at graphic design in PowerPoint, others are experts at language learning. If only an expert can solve your problem, we've got plenty of them on board.

You’ll be able to contact your coach at any time via email, videoconference, or a local phone number we give you.

By the way, here's what we mean by "local phone number" -- you pick up your phone, dial a local number (for example, if you are in Bucharest, it's a Bucharest number), and then your coach's phone rings wherever he or she is in the world. Whether your coach is in the same room as you, or sitting in a grass hut in Thailand, it's still just a local call for you.

When you message your coach, they will always try to get back to you as soon as possible. Usually that means within two hours.

However, you shouldn’t have to wait more than 24 hours for a response to a question, excluding weekends and holidays.

You’ll be recording each day's language activity in a Google form we send to you each day.

Don't worry, we aim to make everything as smooth and easy for you as possible. The Google form is just 4 checkboxes and blank lines.

You and your coach will measure your progress in a variety of different ways, including changes in:

  • Your reading ability
  • Your writing ability
  • Your speaking ability
  • Your listening ability

The weekly recordings we make, kept private between you and your coach of course, will illustrate your progress from week to week!

That depends on your specific goals – but we’re fully committed to helping you reach those goals in the least amount of time.

Generally speaking, the biggest results come after two months, in months 3 and 4.

The average amount of time clients stay with us is four months. Some stay with us for years, some are out after a couple months, but the average is four.

Payment is at the beginning of the month.

Yes, that means each month is prepaid, but there is no long-term commitment, so if the service isn't working for you, just don't renew.

The program is month to month, no contract, so if you'd like to cancel, just don't renew. No hard feelings. It's that easy.

We accept all major credit or debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), bank transfers, or PayPal.

We'll email you an invoice at the beginning of the month, and you can pay by any of those methods.

Unfortunately, we do not accept stacks of cash or paper checks at this time.

Krause English employs industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) encryption measures for all data we exchange with our clients.

Also, we don't store your credit card info, so there's nothing for anyone to hack or steal.
